"Cause I gotta have faith
I gotta' have faith
Because I gotta have faith, faith, faith
I got to have faith, faith, faith" - George Michael, 1987

Folks of a certain age may remember this song not so much for the lyrics, but more so the video. The ripped blue jeans, leather jacket, guitar, the jukebox; it was so simple but ground breaking in its own right. And yet, fitting, considering the creative process I imagine it went through. I imagine he or a certain group of individuals involved had to have a little faith in the video's art direction; which, paid off in the end. I also imagine the faith he spoke of wasn't so much of the religious kind, but a general faith in life; that things were going to be fine if he stuck to his decision and path.
When you embark on a journey towards change, transformation, or goal achievement, you can rest assure setbacks will be on your path. These are the kind of barriers that can stop you dead in your tracks. This is because sometimes, the kind of setbacks you encounter, you simply aren't prepared for and there was no possible way you could see it coming.
Working with a coach cannot shield you from these inevitable moments. That's why, as George Michael said, you gotta have faith. Whether it is in God, life, and/or even yourself, it is a tool so essential to these kinds of journeys that I would argue no one can succeed without it. During your toughest moments, it serves as a powerful and positive force to keep you going and pushing forward when there is nothing or no one else to rely upon.
And what is faith in this context, but the ultimate trust that if you keep going and keep pushing, you will not only survive your setback, but move forward and arrive at your destination and achieve your goals. So although working with a coach is helpful, you still got to have faith, faith, faith.
